I’m Beth. I’m known affectionately (I hope!) by my Mum and my Sister as Choosy.

Now it’s not what you think. It’s not because I am choosy…well yes actually I am very choosy but that’s not why I’m called Choosy…. Confused? So am I. I'll explain at another time if you really want to know.

This blog is about the stuff I make. There will be links to my own patterns as well as other designers who have taught me along the way.

I am currently teaching my old college friend Jane how to Crochet. She lives 11,000 miles away in New Zealand. She’s going through a pretty shitty life changing event right now. My one and only answer to basically anything that sucks is to pick up a crochet hook. Don’t take my word for it, read this book, ‘Crochet Saved My Life’. If you would like to learn to crochet too then please follow my tutorials that I’ve made for Jane on my Make page.

Just a little bit more about me. I live in a small village outside Oxford with my lovely husband Andy. We live in a very old cottage that is falling down around our heads and we don’t know how to fix it. Well we do know how but we can’t be bothered. I’d rather do my crochet and Andy would rather do his stuff. Perhaps we’re lazy. Or perhaps its just the choice we make. I’m Beth and I am choosy.
